REWARDS
Stella’s Child has been supporting the youth of Bali (Indonesia) for more than 7 years. We have developed a formula for success through our programs to guide youth on a journey of self-discovery.
Stella’s Child exists to support Indonesian youths from deeply disadvantaged backgrounds as they prepare to leave their homes and orphanages and enter the world of work.
We are an efficient and highly effective grassroots organization that equips these youths, aged 6-20, with the skills they need to succeed in life and break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families.
But now, our humble community centre is structurally deficient, the lease will end later this year, and during this economic recession, more youths than ever before are in need of their programs to find their passion and improve their skills. We need to build our own community centre, the one that can accommodate more young people needs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Stella’s Child & how is it unique?
Stella’s Child provides a nurturing space that allows young people the freedom to develop self-confidence, creativity, and leadership skills under the guidance of mentors. Through a combination of experiences, these talented and motivated youth are enabled to grow their core competencies, find their passion and to follow their own unique journey to self-defined success. Our definition of success lies directly in the outcomes that our graduates are achieving as they transition out of children’s homes and orphanages and into the workforce. Too many disadvantaged youths enter the Indonesian workforce underprepared and under-skilled. Through our business-minded approach to positive youth development, we help young people rediscover their dreams or create new ones, then work with them to develop the necessary experience to make them real.

Who is the founder of Stella’s Child?
Timothy J. Cameron has worked in the non-profit sector for over 25 years with a focus on access to postsecondary education in the United States. He served as Chief of Staff in the United States Department of Education. Tim was inspired to leave corporate life behind and to start an NGO to bring educational opportunities to underprivileged children. He is a strategic, ambitious, results driven executive with core expertise in leadership, relationship building, project management and program operations and development. Energetic, adaptable, detailed oriented with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines, maintain and develop interpersonal relationships, and effectively communicate with executive management, stakeholders, vendors, and front-line staff. In 2013 he sold all his possession and moved to Bali to set up Stella’s Child with his own money. His strategic, ambitious, results driven approach saw the organization rapidly expand from working with 15 children to almost 300 just 3 years later. The Stella’s Child programs he developed and implemented have borne extraordinary results and led to 100% of its graduates going on to find meaningful employment – with earnings exponentially higher than the national minimum wage.
